Where appropriate and at the request of the client, Skarp Law teams up with Joost Spoel.

After finalizing his studies Business Administration at the Dutch Rijksniversiteit Groningen and a Masters Risk Management at the Sorbonne in Paris he matured as a Risk & Performance Consultant at Andersen and KPMG. From 2008 Joost took on various executive and specialist roles in the field of GRC, Solvency II, Basel and Privacy for Banks, Insurance Companies and Corporates.

Joost is an inclusive and result-driven person with a developed antenna for different stakeholder interests and multiple cultures. One of Joost’s outstanding skills is to transform a complex situation (as Risk and Compliance/ESG often is) into an effective business-oriented operational model with control comfort for the Board.

Joost is a passionate skier. If not working or spending time with his family and friends, he can be found on a ski slope.
